something for my mom

A Mother’s Love

(By: kentrena)

Many times have I forgotten,

Showing feelings yet unraveling,

Often I turned my back and walk,

For being frank is what I lack.

But despite of what I’m not,

You’re always there to back me up,

Giving me a home where love is about,

With compassionate hands constantly around.

I ask myself why it has to be me,

A daughter who’s selfish and greedy,

A wretched soul and broken as me,

Deserves a mother with love so free?

I let you grieved from day to day,

Not thinking tears contained,

Beyond that beauty you hide with grace,

Still you opened yourself for me.

Oh how I missed a lot of chance,

To tell you how much I’m happy,

That you! Yes you! My mother so dear,

Was given to me by God above,

To be my mother with unconditional love…
